Right - I can't find a leak in my thermarest - the valve seems to work fine, but it still deflates overnight while I am asleep. Do I need a new one or is there a miracle someone can work for me?

They are notorious for this apparently. Have you tried running a bath and immersing your inflated thermarest in it (a la bicycle inner tube)?
Otherwise its a new one I'm afraid - you can save a bit of cash by only getting a 3/4 length one (you don't need anything under your legs).
