Does anyone who's been to Langdale before know any good walks in the area? I'll have a look for myself as well, of course, but if anyone has a particular favourite or nemesis to recommend or warn off it'd make it easier to figure out who's doing what where and when.
I'm not 100% sure yet whether I'll be coming (need to check what else is on), but if I am I'll have tent space free and a gas-canister stove. The tent's rated for 3, but it's usually more like 2 plus kit. Even if I don't come, the tent and stove are available to be borrowed if needed.

Er, Scafell and Scafell Pike, back via Bowfell? Langdale horseshoe (14 miles, 4000ft of ascent, run in something like 3 hours, so walk in about 
? Those are the obvious ones looking at the map, but there's a *lot* of scope for variation. Also, as the climbers have got a huge number of options straight from the campsite, it's possible that Stuart might want to take the minibus and drive somewhere to do something else. Up to him I suppose.

can someone stick up a link to the campsite?
Alex- I know of a great gold DofE route with parts of it in the Langdale valley, if you fancy doing something ambitious in 2 days...

I think Kyle was talking of possibly climbing a little further a field if a driver could be convinced, Black crag in Borrowdale was mentioned

I hadn't actually looked at a map of the area when I posted before, and looking at it there doesn't seem to be too much of a problem for routes. Also, apparently there are several Wainwright routes in the area, so I'll probably have a look at them.

Get out of tent;
Find compass;
Work out where West is;
Start walking.
After about 5-6 hours, find East, and then start walking again.
Goto the Old/New Dungeon Ghyll pub(s) - enjoy several pints of beer
Sleep.
Get up and repeat
