Edinburgh Dungeon 5th August

Postby wardka on Thu Jul 02, 2009 3:39 am

Okay...on 5th August, as an addition to the usual Wednesday pub meet, we will be visiting the Edinburgh Dungeon. It's open till 7pm during July and August, so the suggestion would be, as it takes 1 to 1 & 1/2 hours to get round, to meet at 5pm at the Doric for a quick drink and to gather the troops then on for gory dungeon fun. Some rides for use at your discretion if you are pregnant (that means you Fashams). It's usually adults £13.95 and concessions £12.95, but there's usually a fiver off on the back of bus tickets, and I have a 2 for 1 discount (not sure how many people this will cover though...)

Let us know if you're up for it on this thread, we'll continue on to the pub of choice for that week, feel free to bring a friend and all that.

Also - the Water of Leith pub crawl will be taking place on Aug 16th - that's a Sunday. Think of it as a farewell to those people we're saying goodbye to this summer. And no, dressing like someone from the Simpsons is not obligatory.

Count me in! On both counts.

I'm glad to see that someone is standing up to Jack's frankly silly idea of Simpson's fancy dress on the pub crawl. We obviously need to dress as Captain Pugwash characters.

Both sound like cracking ideas. Not seen any of the bus ticket discounts for a while so if you're on the bus and get one, keep it for someone please!

Captain Pugwash characters gets my vote, although none of us are rotund enough it might just end up being a pirate pub crawl.
