Summer Pub

Postby Plastic Puller on Mon Jun 01, 2009 1:06 pm

I think I'm in the majority when it comes to returning to our summer pub program of a different venue weekly.

I know in the past this has been to visit new pubs around the city BUT I was talking to the Black Isle brewery guy on Saturday at the market and he mentioned that the Cumberland bar has several of their beers on draught atm AND he gave me a load of vouchers for buying 4 pints and getting the 5th free!! So my vote this week is for the Cumberland bar.

If anyone has any suggestions put them up here (or come to the pub)as we trend to run low on suitable ideas after a few weeks.

I'm well up for different pubs each week! Mind you, be warned that if I drink 5 pints someone will have to carry me home. Cumberland sounds good to me.

And if the weather stays this good, the beer garden may even be a possibility!

I'd like to suggest an August pub -

Queen Street or Leith Whisky Society - £15
3 exceptional whiskies, a peek at the members rooms, and 'a journey of discovery' (no less)

I'd like to nominate the stockbridge tap for next week - won't be along this week most likely

OK, do we have any idea where the hell we're going tonight? Is anyone else interested in the Stockbridge Tap, as per Andy's suggestion? A beer garden would be nice with the lovely weather. Any ideas?

Next week the pub shall be....THE MEADOWS (with beer). Unless the weather is crappy, in which case the pear tree. If the weather isn't crappy, in the meadows just as soon as you can - there shall be a frisbee
