EUMC Ceilidh 2/10/08

Postby Fuggles on Wed Oct 01, 2008 5:10 pm

I dropped by to have a chat with Edinburgh Uni's mountaineering club this afternoon and they invited us to their Ceilidh this thursday. It starts around 8:00pm at Teviot.

If anyone is interested drop a message on this thread. maybe if enough people want to go I'll drag my lazy ass out too.

For those of you who have never been to a Ceilidh, it's a traditional Scottish dance often accompanied by loud, fast music and ridiculous quantities of alcohol. I remember at my first year of Uni an inebriated Scotsman told me there are only 2 rules to a Ceilidh: you can never refuse to dance with a member of the opposite sex, and nobody is allowed to leave sober.

Cheers

Good luck! I'm already booked for the evening, but it sounds like a good night out.
