if having a giant metal pole is enough to make you feel safe then you're a candidate for the Darwin award

Not laminated, but I'm not planning on taking it out on an all-weather expedition into the hills so I'm not too concerned :)

Don't know your number, not sure if you need it? Andy prob has it on a list somewhere.

Improve winter forecasting? I think we may need a larger gear shed if we decide to put an offer in for this:

How many unis do you reckon would chip in? Most of them have astronomy departments already, and they could sell dish time externally if they needed more cash.

-whats about rope bags, Stephens mentioned that when we put the ropes unprotected in the back of the bus then we never know what was there befor... I think a really good idea!

-prusik slings
-some more srewable carabiners, that we don't have to rebuild the extenable quickdraws every time and they "always" get lost...

are you getting the dogbones to replace the currently dated quickdraws?

everything looks good. I was thinking of getting the hexes off ebay, but maybe it would be better to get them new.

-Guidebooks
-Half ropes (we could use another pair)
-Mountain Leader first aid kit
-Crash Pad (lets just take a look at prices and decide if we really need it)
-et c...

As per a discussion on Skye about having the club ropes on the floor of the minibus when we don't know what else has been put there by anyone else, there's an easy and cheap solution... Ikea bags!

It saves the club forking out on proper rope bags and work really well for shifting stuff about the rest of the time. If I remember they're only about £0.45 each so if anyone is heading out that way would they mind grabbing a half dozen of them?
