Hey

I thought some of you might like to see the meet report from my Pabbay trip at the end of May. One of the guys I was there with has posted it on the LMC site, it's well written and really gives a feel for what an amazing place it was. It might be useful if any of you were looking to plan a trip there over the next couple of years, too :)

Wow, looks fantastic, Sarah - everybody I meet that has been to Pabbay (and Mingulay too, I think) totally raves about the place! Bit like a more inaccessible Lundy perhaps?

However I'll wait until I can solidly lead HVS before I'd entertain a trip there - second VS lead last night, Pain Pillar, well almost, had to hang on gear, as I couldn't see the obvious foothold and I was getting tired - Doh! Awesome stuff from Jon though!

Off to Northumberland all this weekend for some sandstone delights!

There's plenty to climb up to VS on Pabbay too, so you don't have to be able to climb HVS. You have to be pretty confident on sea cliffs though! And you really don't want to fall and hurt yourself I guess.

Well done on Pain Pillar!

I thought Pabbay felt quite different to Lundy, apart from that they're both sea cliff climbing on a smallish island. Both awesome though!

Enjoy the sandstone!
